Dena Garson "Your Wild Heart" Black Hills Wolves book 14

Your Wild Heart (part of the Black Hills Wolves series)
By Dena Garson

Blurb:
Wildlife biologist, Isabelle Acker, meets sexy park ranger, Wyatt Powell. His Wolf sits up and takes notice of her, but when he learns why she came to the park, he becomes wary of her intentions. After all, as far as the general population knows, there are no wolves in the Black Hills.

Ordered by his Alpha to keep an eye on the smoking-hot biologist, Wyatt finds it difficult to keep his hands to himself. He wants to possess her, to share everything about his life, but that might endanger the Tao Pack. But the attraction proves too great and, unable to deny his Wolf, he takes her with a passion he didn’t know he possessed.

However, their sexual bliss is short-lived, and on the night of the full moon, more than one secret is revealed. When all is said and done, they must each decide—is what they have between them true love or just hot sex?

Excerpt:

From the shadows of the surrounding foliage, Wyatt Powell watched the slip of a woman move about her campsite with ease. The business card she had left with the girls at the ranger office read, Dr. Isabelle Acker, Wildlife Biologist. It seemed, she was used to camping outdoors.
But even if she had been camping for over five years, it was damn foolish of her to be out here alone.
Normally, he wouldn’t have paid much attention, but when he’d overheard the girls saying she was well known for her study of wolves, he’d been compelled to investigate.
Everyone knew there were no wolves in the Black Hills.
For generations, his pack had cultivated that belief. And in truth, there were no wolves. At least not what one would call a “normal” wolf. Wolf shifters were a whole other matter.
So, what brought Dr. Acker here?
She’d set up her camp in a secluded spot, well away from the established sites. Perhaps she wanted privacy. But for what?
The longer he watched, the more fascinated he became by her. It wasn’t because she seemed at ease in the outdoors. Nor was it just a physical attraction. Sure, she was pretty for a human but not in a remarkable way. She was an average height with an athlete’s build. Her plain brown hair had been pulled into a simple ponytail, but it did glitter a bit when she stepped into patches of sunlight.
Yet something about her had captured his interest. Both man and beast wanted to learn more.
He was about to retreat into the woods when he saw her gather a towel and a few bathing items and head to the nearby stream. His conscience argued he should leave and allow her some privacy, but the bulge behind his zipper insisted on following her. Part of him wanted to know how much of a nature lover she was.
Like a deer, she picked her way over the rocks until she found a spot next to the river. Before sitting, she slowly turned her head in both directions scanning the area.
Wyatt had been taught by his Sioux grandfather the value of patience when tracking prey. Or a foe. Despite his base attraction, he had yet to determine which she might be.

Dena's Garson's "Mystic's Touch"

Today's guest is a very sweet friend and talented author Dena Garson. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with Dena on the Emerald Isles Fantasies book series, and she was kind enough to beta a WIP for me just this week. Thank you Dena!

(Dena sure gets great book covers, the Cover Goddess loves her for sure!)

Dena's latest book is "Mystic's Touch" from Ellora's Cave Blush Line. If you like your romance more sweet than spice and you haven't already meet Dena Garson, you're in for a real treat:

Thanks for having me today!

Did you know honey was good for more than just a natural sweetener?

While I was writing Mystic’s Touch, I did some research on herbs and healing practices that were used by ancient Egyptians. My heroine is a healer and since the world I built for them was based on ancient Egypt I wanted to know some of the methods and herbs she might have used.

What I learned was fascinating.

Honey has antibacterial properties and was frequently used by ancient Egyptians on the skin to treat cuts, scrapes and burns. It was also used as an embalming fluid and as an offering to their gods.

Ancient Greeks also valued honey. Some myths portray Cupid dipping his arrows in honey before firing them at unsuspecting lovers. Honey was supposedly favored by Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love.

Bridegrooms in traditional Indian wedding ceremonies are offered honey to improve his stamina.

Today we commonly use honey to soothe a sore throat or suppress a cough. Minor burns can benefit from honey’s anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Similarly, minor cuts can be dressed with a thin layer of honey then covered with a clean bandage or band-aid to reduce healing time and sterilze the wound. If you begin to feel like you’re coming down with something, raw honey’s antibacterial and antiviral properties may help boost your immune system and fight sickness. (NOTE: the darker the honey, the better its antibacterial and antioxidant power)

Despite its ability to naturally boost energy, raw honey may provide sleep relief by facilitating the action of tryptophan, which helps make people sleepy.

But don’t forget all the fun you can have with it too! Sweeten your own palate before a kiss to encourage your partner to want more. Drizzle honey on your lover’s body parts and take your time licking it off.

Or heat up a cup of tea and add a dollop of honey before you sit down to enjoy my new book.

Mystic’s Touch:
When Prince Ceros returns home to take his place on the throne, he falls prey to a mysterious malady that leaves him unable to speak or move, though his thoughts and awareness remain intact. Danet, a talented healer, realizes the prince is alert inside his body. The two are able to share thoughts telepathically. Unfortunately her connection with Ceros may bring unwanted attention to her abilities and result in her banishment from the city.

Their unique bond grows as Danet races to find a remedy for the prince’s condition. Desire turns to love, which makes Danet fear for their future when he awakens. They seek out the villain attempting to take the throne and endeavor to find a way to stay together.

Inside Scoop: Ceros’ secret shifter status adds complication and intrigue to their budding romance.

To celebrate the release of Mystic’s Touch, I’m giving away lots of goodies. There will be ebooks, a Dena Garson gift basket, a grab bag of author promo items, a Love: Defined necklace, Naughty/Nice earrings, and a swirl ring made by Designs By Jewelee. Emerald Isle Fantasies Has The Luck Of The Irish!

The Emerald Isle Fantasies series is off to a great start and I’m delighted to say there will be more books coming soon.
Here’s a little sample of what reviewers have posted about Emerald Isles Fantasies this week.

Lisa O’Connor Reviews gave Rebecca Royce’s “Crimson Lust” Emerald Isle Fantasies vampire tale 5 Stars!

“The Tangled web Rebecca weaves is a delight and makes her vampire story unique from all others….”

Rachel at Jeep Diva’s gave Dena Garson’s “Ghostly Persuasions” 4 Stars and said, “I love reading ghost stories and I only recently discovered ghost romances. This was a really enjoyable read that kept me up into the night reading it to finish it.”

Jennifer LaRose’s “Phantom Mischief” got a whooping 5 Star Recommended Read at Night Owl Reviews!

This was a fun, sexy story that I immediately got pulled into…”

The Book Maven “Adored” Lord Griffin’s Prize and had this to say:
I adored this paranormal romance.  The story was intriguing and the character’s were fascinating.  You immediately love Maeve and you totally fall for the hunky Lord Griffin, even if he is only an apparition at times.  He could crawl in my bed sheets anytime.  It felt that even though the modern-day events take place for only one day you can really feel the lifetime connection these two characters have.  Most of the time I don’t enjoy books that have characters that have the soul of someone else.  I usually can’t feel a connection to those characters.  But, I felt that though Maeve had the soul of her late ancestor she was still her own modern self.  I enjoyed that.  I also enjoyed the lush scenery that is so eloquently painted by Katalina Leon.  I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes a good Irish romance with a little of the paranormal thrown in.  After reading this you will want to buy the first ticket over to Ireland and find the nearest castle.
Look for more Emerald Isle Fantasies this autumn and catch up on your reading now!

Dena Garson's Doubly Naughty Nooners!

What's Wednesday's treat? Double Dena Garson that's what! Dena's offering two sweet treats today. You can read one at lunch and blush at your desk, or save them for a bedtime snack and sizzle between the sheets. Either way you won't want to miss these two miniature erotic gems.

Here’s Dena Garson:

Thanks for inviting me back to the Seven Sexy Scribes!
Short stories hold a special place in my heart because the first writing I ever sold was a short. They’re fun to write and lets me tell my readers about new characters or a moment in time. Truth be told, I’m easily distracted and shorts give me an outlet.
But I love to read short stories too. Over lunch, I can wolf one down along with my soup and sandwich. Anthologies and compilations of shorts have introduced me to more than one new author. Some of which went on to become favorites.
When Ellora’s Cave said they were interested in two of my short stories, I was thrilled. Now that they’ve been released, I’m over the moon.
If you’re ready for a bit of naughtiness, I have just the thing for you. But be warned, both of these shorts are written in first person. So you, the reader, get to step even further into someone else’s shoes. Come on – Angie and Cherie have a story to tell you!

Working It All Out

When Angie needs a trainer to prepare for a corporate fundraiser, Noel comes highly recommended. No one told her he’s sexy as hell too. Unfortunately, he’s way too young. He couldn’t possibly share the same clothes-ripping, fucking-on-the-gym-floor fantasies that inundate her every time she looks his way. Or so she thinks.

Noel has other ideas. When they get the gym to themselves for an intense one-on-one, he gives her the workout she’s been waiting for.

Cherie's Silk

Cherie’s favorite work adversary, Mason, stumbles across her in the midst of a humiliating “wardrobe malfunction”. She has to choose between possible public embarrassment and exposing her secret undergarment obsession to Mason. An obsession that could taint Cherie’s prim and proper office persona.

Thankfully Mason is willing to lend a hand in more ways than one. He’s lusted after Cherie as much as she’s wanted him, and getting his hands on her frilly silk leads to a hot, sexy hallway encounter.

Thanks for letting me drop by!
