My Journey Continues

Thanks for stopping by my website. My name is Tessie Bradford and I am an author of Erotic Romance. My stories focus on ordinary women who discover that life and love can become extraordinary in the blink of an eye.
What would you do if you discovered a man that you think is out of your league is head over heels for you? Have you ever fantasized about surrendering control to an ultra-sexy Dom? Or what it would be like to have two men who want nothing more that to please you in every conceivable way? How about leaving this world altogether? My goal is to explore all of these tantalizing possibilities and much, much more!

Despite many changes to my website over the last six years, the above introduction has remained unchanged. Why? Because it brings back wonderful memories of the beginning of my author journey and it reminds me of how far I've come.

I wrote the questions to myself as much as to the people that I hoped would visit my site. It was my wish list of what I planned to write and have published someday. At the time, they were the most difficult words I'd ever written. I vividly remember the myriad of emotions that went along with the surreal event of creating a website for the alter-ego I was just beginning to get to know.

In early summer of 2014, Tessie was literally taken away from me. Illness and the mind-altering chemicals used for treatment made it impossible to access my creative self. It was beyond torturous to lose such a huge, important aspect of what makes me, me. My plans to write Mesta book #3 and Rubbing Rita by the end of the year disappeared. I couldn't even focus enough to read anything.

I can't thank Resplendence Publishing enough for their understanding as I missed multiple deadlines, and for the personal support they've given me during this challenging time.

On January 13th, the head of RP editing sent me a "checking on how you're doing email" - one of many I've received (and so appreciated) from my RP family over the months. In it she asked about the status of my scheduled to be released on 3/4/15 Romantic Gem story.

I had completely, utterly forgotten about it!!?!! I admitted this sad fact to her, then asked for a week or two to see what I could come up with. Writing a short, short story seemed like a more reasonable goal to set yet it was a terrifying prospect none the less. Could I find Tessie again? I'm still in treatment. Some days I don't know what planet I'm on while other days are pretty darn okay. The unpredictability sucks.

Fulfilling Bess now holds my title of 'hardest words I've ever written' but in the best way possible. I'm extremely proud of what I produced and my confidence is slowly returning.

It probably will take longer than I'd like, but now I know without a doubt that more Tessie Bradford books are going to be written!

Have a great weekend~

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is a highly magnified eighth-inch patch of beach sand...

As you can see, plain old sand is hardly plain old anything...sand is composed of millions and trillions of tiny bits of miniscule particles...creatures and minerals and bits of vegetation that fossilized millions of years ago.  Just as each one of us is a tiny grain of sand in a vast ocean of people and creation.

In its own way, this bit of sand is magnificent..breathtaking...amazing and no two bits are identical. Just like people...

If you have not been fortunate enough in your lives to have found someone to love...someone who loves you...among all these grains of humanity, this message is for you.

Life is too short to waste, yet we keep holding off loving...hoping to find the "perfect" one who completes us. We may never find our soul mate...we might not even have one out there...but there are thousands of people who need our care and love, and we can share love with everyone we touch.

And no, I do not refer to falling into bed with hundreds of different people. I refer to giving something of ourselves to those who desperately need to know they matter...whether it be a child...or a sister or brother...or a friend who needs us to show them we care.  A complete stranger who watches the world pass them by as they stand on a street corner with a sign.

Instead of simply dropping a few coins or a dollar bill into their hands, a sincere smile and a welcome word of encouragement is never amiss.

Saint Valentine was never a symbol of romantic love, until the Victorian Valentine's card artists got hold of the poor guy.  He symbolized love of humanity in general, and love of the God he worshiped. It may even be probable that, as a Catholic priest, he may never have even known love as we think of it on Valentine's Day. But we celebrate the day of his martyrdom with all the frivolity and pomp that surrounds the feast day for him.

So, instead of chocolates and roses (which are medieval aphrodisiacs) showing our love for those around us and those we have never met yet might be the higher purpose of this day.  Of course, no one minds a nice box of great chocolates and a bouquet of flowers...right?

So enjoy your day with people you love being around, whether you have found your soul mate or have found a comfortable significant other...and celebrate love in general.

Hugs to all of you!

As Promised Last Week

Fulfilling Bess - releasing March 4, 2015

Fulfilling Bess
Copyright: Tessie Bradford, 2015

Blurb:

Bess Wilks assumes she is about to be sitting through another monotonous office meeting. Oh well, these gatherings do provide perfect opportunities to test out new recipes for her catering business on her willing coworkers. When Darrin Larabey walks into the conference room, Bess is eternally grateful that the treat table is close enough to use for support. Despite the passing of nine years since they’ve seen each other, her body instantly heats to boiling and all manner of decadent thoughts keep her from concentrating on the business at hand.

As vivid images of making love with Bess in every way imaginable dance in his head, Darrin can barely get through his presentation. The woman who has starred in his dreams for years is sitting within arm’s reach, flushed and fidgeting in her chair. The passage of time has obviously done nothing to diminish their smoking hot chemistry and now he’s not a newbie intern and she’s not his boss. The erotic possibilities are endless.

Excerpt coming soon!!

Have a great weekend~

Portrait of a Lone Wolf coming February 20th!

Portrait of a Lone Wolf won't be released until February 20th, but the first reviews are great and I want to brag a little. Mostly because I don't have another blog post ready to go!

Portrait of a Lone Wolf is book 7 in Decadent Publishing’s multi-author series, Black Hills Wolves. This book is my first contribution to the Black Hills Wolves series. I have a second book coming soon.

Blurb:
A mixed-blood Native American wolf-shifter, abandoned by a teenage mother and ignored by an absentee father, Rio Waya has never fit in or felt worthy of love. But when he comes home to the Black Hills, he realizes he wants a mate of his own.

Recovering from a cheating ex who started a new family behind her back, Sela López seeks escape to pull her life back together. As a documentary filmmaker and wildlife photographer, she rents a cabin in the Black Hills with plans to film the beleaguered wolf population. But she’s so busy looking through a camera lens she doesn’t see trouble coming.

Sparks fly as mutual fears and vulnerabilities surface when Sela and Rio meet. She can’t figure out why the mysterious Mr. Waya is so anxious about having a documentary made of the Black Hills Wolves. But when his secret is exposed, all hell breaks loose. Can Rio win Sela’s trust and soothe her fears about allowing a hunky wolf-shifter into her heart?

Here are two new reviews. It's always a relief to get those first reviews in. Then I can breath.

"Wow spine-tingling Shifter Romance!"
This book is amazing!. The story line is thrilling!. Plus the characters are fantastic!. Sela Lopez Wants to do a documentary on the Los Lopos wolves. So she rents a cabin on the mountain. Rio is a Wild life Ranger there who agrees to help her. Rio can not believe his luck when he gets a smell of Sela she is the one he has waited all his life for his mate. Not only that but he can smell she has wolf in her as Rio is a wolf shifter. When Sela accidently sees Rio shift every thing get complicated. Can Sela except Rio for what he is?. Can Rio win her over and finally get him a mate. This is such a heart warming Romance!. This is a must read can not put down till you finish book! Katalina Leon is new to me ,but this book has proven what an amazing writer she is!"

First off I have to admit that this is the first book I've read from this author and I can honestly say it won't be the last book. In fact I've already bought 5 other books from this author today off Amazon. I highly recommend that if you haven't given this author a try that you do so now. This is a good book to start with!!!

Ms. Leon has a wonderfully smooth way of writing that just snaps you up and holds on tight. You literally feel what each character is going through.

Now about the book alone - I loved Rio best. I also love that he is Native American. He sounds so hot looking and he was so lonely and vulnerable. He had always felt that way and was at the stage in his life now that he had pretty much given up on the idea that he would have anyone to share his life with. But he wasn't bitter about it. He was strong and accepted that as something he was going to have to live with. Then he meets Sela who just rocks his world and beliefs. Suddenly he had a chance at happiness and love. It's so sweet how he keeps trying to get close to her but goes the wrong way about it. My favorite part of the book is when he's shifted into a wolf and is hamming it up for her. It's so funny when he gets caught shifting.

Sela is a great character also. She's strong but also vulnerable. She's been hurt deeply and isn't looking for love or sure she can trust again. Then Rio comes along. She can feel that he's as lost and lonely as she is and can't help but let him in. It also doesn't hurt that he's hot and she can't help but be attracted to him. I liked how she was scared but didn't panic or start screaming when she finds out what he is.

I find it so cute that they have the same last name only in different languages. Waya means wolf and Lopez means wolf. It's like the fates had lined them up just for each other. Super cute. I also want to say that the cover of the book is great. The guy is hot.

I loved the book. The only thing I wish was different about the book would have to be that it was longer. I would've liked to know more about them. This is a really good book.
I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good paranormal romance to read.

I have half a dozen wips on my computer...

And all I seem to do is sit and stare...

It would really be great if I could put two or three words together and finish something...Sigh.  Actually I did write about 500 words during the week on a western paranormal I started...I ended up changing everything in the first chapter.

I'm not sure if it's sheer laziness, or sheer lack of motivation.  Hmmm.  Probably a little of both?

I can't keep blaming my lack of productivity on my missing muse...Heaven knows she tried to prod me into getting busy, but I kept ignoring her. Every time she would stick her head up, I'd toss a scarf over her.

I can't even seem to blog when I'm supposed to.

Oh, well...maybe this week...

Hugs,

Fran Lee

M. Limoges "Claiming His Mate" Black Hills Wolves

I have a special treat today. More Black Hills Wolves! Claiming His Mate, book 5 in the Black Hills Wolves series, is extra special. This is M. Limoges-debut novella! I wish to send out a big congratulations to M. Limoges on a job well done!

Blurb: Claiming His Mate

Member of the Black Hills Pack in Los Lobos, South Dakota, Jace Matthews is sent to check out the new owner of a piece of land adjoining his packs. Once he steps into her small bookstore in Collins, he’s taken by surprise by the small, prim woman behind the counter. At once, he recognizes his mate. While the wolf inside urges him to complete the bond, Jace knows he must take his time with his human mate. But when danger arises, threatening Michelle’s life, Jace is done waiting. It’s time to claim his mate.

After she inherits her aunt’s property, Michelle Sanders moves to Collins, South Dakota, to escape the monotony of her routine life. Unfortunately, the only person she manages to befriend is not only the hottest guy on the planet, but also gay. However, she never expects a favor for her sexy new friend to result in a series of weird events that will change her life forever.

Excerpt:
Jace Matthews’ eyes followed the rhythmic sway of his mate’s heart-shaped ass as she walked up the aisle to the sales counter. Damn, he couldn’t wait to strip her bare and sink his teeth into that tender flesh. Suddenly, those tempting globes stopped. He blinked and his gaze shot up to find Michelle frowning over her shoulder at him.

Shit.

Embarrassed she’d caught him staring, he snatched the closest book on the shelf beside him, waving it in the air like a kid who’d won a life-sized stuffed animal at the county fair. “Got it.
Thought it might be out of stock.”

Real smooth, jackass.

She arched a delicate brow over the rim of her glasses. “Are you ready to check out, Jace?”

“Yep, I think this’ll do it.” He soaked up the sound of her sweet voice and followed her to the register.

Two months ago, when he’d come to check out the new owner of a large parcel of land adjoining his pack’s hunting territory, he damn sure hadn’t expected to find Michelle Sanders. Once he’d stepped inside the small, quaint bookstore she’d owned in Collins, he’d caught a scent that had eluded him for thirty-two years.

His mate.
