M. Limoges "Naming His Mate" Black Hills Wolves Book 17

Naming his Mate
M. Limoges
Black Hills Wolves #17
Decadent Publishing
GBLT Paranormal/Erotic Romance
Release Date: May 1, 2015
Length: 64 pg.

Blurb - Small-town sheriff, Mike Hadley, would love to experience a headache-free day for once in his life. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen anytime soon. While investigating a rash of disappearances and dealing with his ornery lover, he’s thrown into a whole new world he never imagined existed.

Damien Marks has finally found a place to call home in Los Lobos, South Dakota, with the Black Hills Pack. He also stumbles across something he never thought he would—his mate. Falling hard, he decides he needs to come clean and tell the truth. But will his sexy lover accept what he is?

Embroiled in a potentially dangerous situation, both men have to decide where their loyalties lie—with duty or love?

Excerpt - Mike Hadley adjusted his gun holstered on the belt at his waist and tugged his jacket over the weapon, concealing it from clear view. There wasn’t any doubt he’d incite a riot if he walked inside with his piece visible.

Coming here, to this place in the middle of nowhere, shouldn’t have troubled him. He’d stepped into shittier, more unstable situations than this hole-in-the-wall bar, but damn if a thread of apprehension didn’t prickle the length of his spine as he stood outside of the entrance. One small detail kept him from strolling into the establishment like he owned the place, and he sincerely hoped that minor detail stayed home tonight.

He rolled his neck from side to side in a bid to loosen the tension in his shoulders. With an air of confidence he didn’t quite feel, he pulled open the heavy steel door and strode inside the Den.
Thirty seconds was all it took for activity to grind to a screeching halt. The drawl of a country ballad playing on the music box in the far corner thumped through the stifling air. Weighted stare after weighted stare met his gaze head on as he scanned the bar’s occupants. Their open hostility battered at his senses.

He wasn’t welcome. That much was apparent, but he would deal with it. Despite a bar full of unfriendly locals, the absence of one in particular shaved off a degree of his unease.

Of course, his anxiety hardly mattered. As sheriff of the small town of Collins, South Dakota, it was his job to investigate a rash of disappearances over the last several weeks. Unfortunately, the trail had led him to the neighboring, inhospitable town and people of Los Lobos.

The first reviews for Loup-Garou For You are coming in and so far I’m really pleased with what reviewers are saying. Especially since many of them do not read erotica, paranormal, historicals or time-travel. I feel really lucky to be reaching readers in another crowd and so grateful these reviewers gave me a try!

Fabulous book for all fans of paranormal erotic stories, shifter fans, and wolf fans.  This was not sex with a little plot, this was a lovely story with erotic flavors.  I’m not a huge fan of erotica that is all about the sex and very little about the story, and so this book was just my cup of tea.  The story was what the book was about, the erotica was just an extra spice of nice.

Imagine waking up the day before your 27th birthday and being told by your family lawyer that he’s going to chain you up and ship you off to a ruined castle in the hills of France for two years because you are a danger to yourself and others because you didn’t get married like he suggested during the prior year.  I don’t know about you, but I’d be calling the men in the white coats to haul him off...even if he could make chains jump out of a box and shackle me.  I have friends and family that can do magic.

But of course true love, soulmates, that was what was really needed.  And surprisingly that happened without his help.

I give this book 4 out of 5 clouds and a chili pepper rating of 8 for fairly graphic descriptions of F/F and M/M consensual sex.

Loup-Garou for You is my first book I have read from Katalina Leon and it definitely will not be my last. I was intrigued the moment I saw Loup-Garou for You`s book cover and read the synopsis, but also because it is a book that is set in a historical era with PNR and erotic romance elements. I love reading a book with so many romance elements to it. Katalina Leon did an amazing job putting together a different werewolf tale set in a historical era. How the main character Aubert is about to turn 27 years old and he has no idea what he is about to become. His friend knows what he is about to become and it trying to warn him of it and save him from himself, but Aubert is not taking it all in.

It takes the beautiful, mysterious woman named Corrine to make him realize what he is to become and what his fate is, thanks to what has happened in the past.

Aubert is going to deal with not only with his transition, but trying to survive in a world he has no idea about.

This book contains not only the PNR and historical feel to it...but some very erotic moments to. Very steamy scenes, which include bondage, anal play, and scenes that have F/F and M/M. ***Towards the end is when it really gets very STEAMY. Oh boy...does it get steamy…

Being that this is a historical PNR, it is not my usual fare. However, like the title and cover suggest, this book is about werewolves! :-) You know how much I LOVE werewolves. I need to caution that this book is ONLY appropriate for ADULTS. Also there is some F/F and M/M action.

The main character is Aubert. He has been experiencing some rather bizarre happenings where his emotions, control, and body are concerned. There is an explanation but he does not know that.

He starts to smell a strange woman who is in his house and he has an overwhelming urge to pounce on her.

Even though he wants her more than his next breath, she alludes him at first. lol!

She finally comes to see him and seduces him a little. ;-)

This book has a lot of cat and mouse between the two main characters. There is some mystery, lots of erotic steam, some romance, action, and a slightly loco wolf who has delusional notions of grandeur.

I found it to be quite enjoyable and if you like erotic PNR, you may want to try this one!

I did my first radio interview for Behind The Scenes IndieReview Radio with producer/hostess Michelle Cornwall-Jordan. It was fun and Michelle did a great job putting me ate ease.

Loup-Garou For You Excerpt

I love autumn and this is the perfect time of year to enjoy a hot wolf-shifter story and guess what?  I have one for you! This excerpt is from "Loup-Garou For You" chapter two (Yes I know that rhymes)

(In this excerpt, Aubert is corned by a long-time family associate Mister Aldridge and given some bad news.)
…Aubert’s heart hammered in his throat as he forced himself to stop and turn. He was confronted by the cold gray gaze of Mister Aldridge, the family’s solicitor-trustee. Mister Aldridge was the sort of man who could incite vexation with a glance. The last thing Aubert needed today was more provocation. Corrine had fled the ballroom and he was no longer free to pursue her. He hated Mister Aldridge for it and fought a rising snarl. “Our obligatory annual meeting is tomorrow, Mister Aldridge. You’re a day early. Why?”
“Tomorrow might be too late, lad.” Mister Aldridge stared down the bridge of his hatchet-sharp nose. He stood in the doorway of the drawing room, slender and straight, attired in an elegant charcoal riding coat paired with a somewhat wild head of platinum hair. “I’m here a day early to enforce the conditions of the Marston family will and head off possible disasters before they occur.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Aubert padded toward the drawing room. He drew his broad shoulders back and stood at his full height, which was taller than anyone else on the plantation by a considerable margin. “I’m not a lad, Mister Aldridge, so stop treating me like one. I’m the master of this plantation and it’s never been more profitable. I’m not afraid to work hard and make my own decisions. I’m a grown man. I’m twenty-seven. I shouldn’t have to endure these annual meetings with you or the added insult of being called a lad.”
Mister Aldridge frowned. “Correction—you’re twenty-six. You won’t be twenty- seven until midnight and your stubborn refusal to take my advice is what makes you a lad.”
Aubert passed close and gave Mister Aldridge’s shoulder a deliberate nudge as he entered the drawing room and headed toward a sideboard set with breakfast. He picked up a teapot and poured a cup of strong black tea.
“It’s cooled.” Mister Aldridge frowned with disapproval. “But drink some anyway. It might clear your head.”
Aubert sipped the tepid tea. “I’ll admit I don’t look forward to our yearly meetings. May I be so bold as to ask when they will end?”
Mister Aldridge smiled. “Do as I say, Aubert, and this meeting can be our last.” He walked to the far side of the massive mahogany desk and placed a chunky, age- weathered wooden box in the center.
Aubert eyed the box with dread. He hated Mister Aldridge’s unending annual surprises.
Mister Aldridge drew a deep breath. “As you know, when I was a young man I was apprenticed to your grandfather, the senior Aubert Marston. He possessed a commanding spirit I respected. I learned a lot from him. I was honored to be in his service and swore to carry out my duties with the highest integrity.”
Mister Aldridge turned toward the far wall and pointed at an imposing oil portrait of a handsome young man with a dimpled chin. “Your father Graham and I were raised as if we were brothers. The night you were born, in this house, I was present and promised Graham I would always look after you until you were ready to look after yourself. What you don’t understand is that our families—yours and mine—share a common ancestor and a bond thicker than blood. You treat these annual meetings since your dear parents’ unfortunate deaths as a great inconvenience, but I see them as a soul- honored necessity. I also have it in writing from your late father that they must take place.
“I am here to enforce your late father’s wishes and act in Graham’s stead. If you don’t like it that’s too bad. I do this out of loyalty to Graham. You see, there are no more male Marstons in the world—you are the last in your branch of the family—and I will not allow the noble Marston line to flicker out in disgrace.”
Aubert balked. “I’ve done nothing disgraceful.”
Mister Aldridge huffed under his breath. “Not yet.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” An odd chill raced through him. The fleeting thought occurred that Mister Aldridge had heard rumors of, or even sensed, his inner turmoil and strange metamorphoses. He didn’t want anyone to know about his personal troubles, and cringed.
“Aubert, why didn’t you follow my advice from last year’s meeting?” Mister Aldridge’s bony fingertip tapped the tabletop. “You had an entire year to act. I handpicked several eligible, wealthy young women from the ancient Marston bloodline and you didn’t bother to contact any of them.”
“What the hell, Aldridge? An arranged marriage from the old country? In case you didn’t notice, we don’t live in a feudal society.”
“Really?” Mister Aldridge’s gaze swept across the elegant plantation drawing room, built on the labor of slaves. “You don’t see the irony, do you?” He reached toward the weathered wooden box. “Do you have any idea how much this pains me, to arrive today and confront you this way? Today should be a day of celebration, not incarceration.”
“Incarceration?” Aubert paced the room. “Are you mad? I spent this past year working like a dog. Do you have any idea what this plantation has endured in the last twelve months? Cotton blight, weevils, floods, hail, cane rats and swamp fever that kept half my men from the fields. I rolled up my sleeves, dealt with it all and made a profit on top of it. Exactly what am I being accused of?”
“You’ve worked hard—that’s not the problem—but you ignored my most important request.”
Aubert threw his hands into the air. “That I marry before my twenty-seventh birthday? Were you serious about that? I thought that was just more of your outlandish tomfoolery. I’ve been busy, Mister Aldridge, and I didn’t meet the right girl. Besides, it’s none of your goddamn business whether I marry or not.”

“In fact it is my business, and since you’ve made a deliberate choice not to act on your own behalf, for the good of the Marston family legacy and the innocent people of this plantation you’ve forced me to take action.” Mister Aldridge opened the weathered box, revealing a rusted set of medieval-looking iron manacles and chains. “It’s no use fighting—the chains carry a heavy enchantment that you will not be able to resist. During transport, Le Brut Entraver is meant to protect you from yourself and prevent harm to others.”…

It's Almost Time To Go Loup-Garou For You!

This Friday September 27th get ready to "Loup-Garou For You", Cajun wolf-shifters and medieval magic will howl into your life. This book is a big adventure set in 1834 Louisiana Plantation country and the French Pyrenees of the 9th century. You might be asking what the possible connection could be between these two far-flung settings?

I’ll tell you. Everything!

It all starts in the 9th century with a forbidden love between two people who should not have married. Every good thing has its dark side and even the wish to spare a beloved husband from falling victim to a deadly ambush can go wrong. Loup-Garou For You is the tale of two lovers who became blood-bonded souls but must wait a thousand years to lay eyes on each other once again. What began, as a Saracen sorceress' act of love to protect a French knight on crusade becomes Sir Marston d' Roland’s family curse of Lycanism—he becomes a wolf-shifter or Loup-Garou. Becoming Loup-Garou saves Marston d' Roland’s life but as you might guess a Saracen sorceress and a wolf man are not welcome in King Charlemagne's Christian court and must keep their lives separate and secret.

And the secret of an uncanny blood-bond between a near-eastern sorceress, a French nobleman and the clan of the wolves remains secret for a millennium. So secret in fact young men in the Marston bloodline are often not told of their impending fate until the eve of their twenty-seventh birthday when at midnight, the transformation from man to Loup-Garou takes place.

That’s where the trouble and the fun begins. Poor Aubert Marston is a wealthy orphan and the last male heir in the Marston bloodline. He’s been warned by a family trustee to take a wife before his twenty-seven birthday, but he has willfully ignored that bit of useful advice. Now it’s going to cost him. One hundred party guests are on their way to celebrate Aubert’s birthday at the annual Marston Planation Harvest Ball. Not only does Aubert face the prospect of becoming a raving wolf man in front of his guests, it could get even worse. He might be bodily hauled away from his beloved plantation in chains and transported to the wilds of the French Pyrenees and there’s a strong possibility that during his first raging blood lust, for the sake of the many innocent people in his path, a sacred sword will be used to behead him and bring an end to the violence.

Wow maybe it would have been easier to just get married after all…

Now you know why they don’t tell everybody everything upfront. Becoming Loup-Garou is a traumatic event and not every young man survives it. Lucky for Aubert a mysterious young woman named Corrine shows up in his household to tempt, tease and downright torment him into believing she can control him. What’s even better is Aubert senses she’s Loup-Garou too. Aubert falls for Corrine big time, even before he actually sees her, he knows he loves her. You’ll just have to read the book to find out how Corrine manages that tricky feat. Once she’s mastered him, Corrine lures Aubert into the bayou where his true fate awaits.

Now you know a little about the Marston family legend and the origins of how the Loup-Garou came to the new world but there’s a lot more to know. I jammed a lot into these pages and I’m very proud of the results. I will guarantee that Loup-Garou For You is hotter than Louisiana red-pepper sauce and has a very happy ending.

You know what else? Loup-Garou For You is book two in the Voodoo Bayou series. “Sugar Roux Voodoo” is book one. Each book can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone but they are better together. If you read Sugar Roux Voodoo, you’ll remember poor confused Miss Marietta and her heated sexual obsession with the wicked Mister Payne? Of course you remember that nasty-hot little sexual encounter in a shadowy New Orleans alleyway… Well guess what? The Marston Plantation Harvest Ball is where Miss Marietta meets Mister Payne for the first time and their affair begins. The meek, long-suffering Julian Vandersmith is here as well watching the love of his life snatched away from him by an evil man. The Voodoo Bayou series is unfolding. I’m writing the next two books now so expect more magic, lust, true love and a hellacious battle between good and evil in steamy New Orleans of 1834. There’s more Voodoo Bayou come soon, but you can have this one on Friday!

Blurb: Loup-Garou For You

Bayou Country, 1834. Aubert Marston awakens on the eve of his twenty-seventh birthday to discover he’s undergone some disturbing physical changes. His body is bigger, stronger and hairier than it’s ever been, and burns with the lust of a beast. To make matters worse, a hundred guests are about to arrive for the plantation’s annual ball.

A mysterious young woman named Corrine appears in his home, temping Aubert to unleash the inner lycan, and family secrets from a medieval past surface. Corrine lures Aubert to a bayou camp of Cajun Loup-Garous—werewolves, But Aubert’s wealth and good looks are no advantage here. He must surrender to his feral nature and fight tooth and claw against another male pack member to claim Corrine as his own.

Inside Scoop:  This story contains mild bondage, southern hospitality, consensual sexual torment, f/f, m/m, anal play, cage fighting and unfettered animal lust. Enjoy!
