It's Saturday again...

I just gave away half a dozen copies of

It's the least I could do for those who responded to my request that my friends pray for snow in Utah's mountains.  Sound silly?  Not at all.  Utah is a high desert, and without the snow pack, our summers become drought ridden.

Usually Utah has hundreds of inches of snow in the Uintah and Wasatch Mountains by this time of year, but because of climate changes, we have only had snow three times this winter. We have had rain and sleet in the valley, but over the past 24 hours, we had some snow in the mountains. We got a bit of very wet snow/rain yesterday down in the valley, and the mountains are white again.

With all the rest of the country being hit by staggering blizzards and being buried in drifts 10 feet deep, it has all passed our mountains by, and that means drought this summer.

So if you have a few moments, please send up a prayer to whatever deity you believe in, and ask for snow in our mountains?  I would appreciate it.
