Nibble my newest cherry, MORE THAN YOU KNOW out tomorrow!

http://decadentpublishing.com

He is not scrumptious?
Who is he?
The bartender at The Menger Hotel in San Antonio, Texas, Luke Hurley has the hots for one of his customers whom he sees rarely.
She kills him with her looks. And just who does she resemble?
Rita Hayworth.
This is My Main Man in my newest, out tomorrow, MORE THAN YOU KNOW from http://decadentpublishing.com .

More Than You Know by Cerise DeLand
One redhead. One bartender. Lots of laughter. A desire so tender that the sheets they burn up together could set the hotel on fire. But can he intrigue a woman who’s older? What if he never lets her out of bed? Will she still want him tomorrow?

“Hi, Luke Hurley.” His redhead stood right in front of him, beaming at him so the world glowed suddenly more brightly in this dark crowded room.
“Hi, there,” he said to her, as she inched closer to the bar. “I’m so glad you came in.”
“Thish has got to be Rita. Right?” Teresa took a slow gander at the woman he had told her kept him awake at night.
“Rita?” asked the lady in question, looking humored. “I’m—“
“Rita Hayworth. You bet!” Teresa clamped a hand on his lady’s arm and peered at her like an X-ray machine. “Luke, you pegged her. That is who she looks like. Gee. Lucky you, huh?”
Rita questioned him with a sideways grin. “Luke, I—”
“Teresa is my friend,” he explained, trying to keep Rita here until he got her phone number and her real name.
“I’m his copyeditor!” Teresa put in. “His friend.”
“Yes, Teresa, and the lady would like to have her arm back.”
“Oh, don’t chu worry yourself none, Luke and Rita. I am leaving. I am!”
He turned back to his redhead. “I’m glad you came in tonight. I’ve been trying to find out your name. Went to the catering manager and asked about the wedding here tomorrow, but she says the mother of the groom is a platinum blonde and short.”
“She is,” Rita exclaimed, little chuckles escaping her.
Someone shouted out that he had to stop holding hands with the bombshell and take his order. Where was his assistant bartender? He looked around but tugged at Rita’s hand.
“Okay, okay!” Luke told him, but zeroed in on Rita. “I want to call you. Ask you to dinner or drinks. Coffee, anything. I need your phone number.”
“Really? Oh, Luke, please let me—”
“I’ll find a pencil and pad. And by the way, that gown is unbelievable.” He had to tame his voice so he could speak about the gold-sequined mermaid thing that made his cock twitch. “I think I just went blind. Don’t move.”
He strode toward the register, found what he needed and stepped toward her.
But her son and Blondie appeared beside her. Blondie was pouting. The son raked his hair.
“I’m sorry. Tamara,” Rita bit off the words, never looking at her future daughter-in-law as she took Luke’s pen and wrote on his paper. “But I am the one who brought up Josh. And I will sit in the first pew. If you or your parents don’t like it, too bad. And Josh, if your father or his new wife don’t like it, tough.”
Luke watched the family drama, realizing why he hadn’t been able to learn Rita’s name. She was the divorced wife of Mr. Silver-haired Banker. And judging from the close ages of stepmother and son, Rita might actually be wife numero dos.
The son cursed. “Tam, I want her to sit in the front pew. This is my mother, and she deserves to take precedence.”
Ouch. Luke couldn’t help but look at Rita, who locked her gaze on his and grinned.
Blondie stomped her foot. “I won’t do this to my daddy. He wants this to look good for his friends. You know how he is about marriages made in heaven and no divorce.”
“Well, Tam, next to golf, divorce is my father’s favorite pastime,” Josh retorted, as Blondie huffed and made a beeline toward the door. “Aw, hell. Mom, what can I do here?”
Before Rita could answer, he fled. To Luke’s dismay, Rita raised her hands in frustration, threw him an apologetic look and followed her son.
Luke pounded his fist on the bar and the pad of paper jumped with the blow. Numbers and words bounced around. He grabbed the sheet.
Room 428. Rita
“Ricardo!” Luke called out to his assistant, as he ripped off his bar apron. “Take over here.”

Gotta love Facebook...

You learn all manner of odd facts...
If only...

Don't you find yourself wishing that stuff like this would happen?  That you could post something to FB and money would fall into your lap?  So many folks "share" this stuff in high hopes, then forget about it.  Me?  I post it and count the days.  Sigh.  Never seems to work.

Of course, it's all a line of bull.  Most months have at least three sets of "5". Check it out on Snopes. Only once every 800+ years? Go on...pull the other one.

So...in three days I will be winging my way to Ohio for Romanticon.  It will be five days of travel, standing on my aching feet, laughing my butt off, meeting old and new friends, and generally making merry.  Then I'll fly home and take ten days to recover from the stress of the flights and the change in altitude and...

No matter how much fun such a convention is, it takes a lot out of a body when you are as old as dirt. LOL!

I'll take loads of pictures, and buy loads of books and bring back more than I took.  No...I think I will ship the books I buy home so I don't have to lug 80 pounds of stuff through the airport.

Wish me luck!

The Strix is Getting Great Reviews!

Today I want to share a couple of recent reviews  “The Strix” has received.

The National Examiner gave The Strix 4 stars!
Reviewer: Acquanetta Ferguson
“When I started reading this book, I didn't know where it was going to take me, but by the time I finished I was ready for book 2. There are elements of Greek Mythology and vampire lore interwoven around the tale of reincarnation, making this an incredibly interesting read.
In this book, The Strix are witches of vengeance who create their own warriors, which are brave, strong men who become infused with the witch’s evil by becoming an immortal being who not only lives for the kill but also for the blood. Unlike other vampire type stories, these creatures can have sex, but they can never be satisfied. In fact they are created by sex magic.
I loved the idea of these creatures being created in such way. But the book is not focused primarily on the vampire element, instead it takes the reader on a journey to the distant past as well as the present, as it is Arcona who in the past vows vengeance. The Arcona in present day, while having the same name, has no idea what she has done, because she has been reincarnated with a clean slate.
But the cosmos conspires to bring her back to herself, where she undoes the damage she has created in the past.
There is also sex that Arcona is having with multiple men in order for her to create her army of men. That is what made me realize that this book is not your typical romance, and I was ok with that. I love how Arcona, when she remembers her past, is truly a different person than the woman bent on her enemies ultimate destruction. She is truly sorry, and gives Tyr back his life.
Overall I really enjoyed the book. It kept me intrigued from beginning to end and the going back and forth in time just worked.
I give the book 4 stars and recommend this book for collection.”

This is what Ezrabet Enchantments Reviews had to say about
The Strix-5 Stars!

If you enjoy books with a historical and contemporary flair, then give this one a whirl. Witches, gladiators, blood, curses, betrayals and of course, some sexy vampires with attitude problems. I loved it. When the book opens up, we are in the past as a priestess tries to find her calling. It comes in the form of blood and fire. Next, we are in the present, wandering the streets of Salem. I am a sucker for witch stories, especially in Salem.

I loved the flow of this story and the imagery. You can smell the arena, the gladiators and feel the anguish of the characters. The dialogue is spot on and the erotic scenes are super hot. I hate giving too much away, but if you enjoy an adventure that crosses time, curses, vengeance, hot sex and some hotter vampires, then this book is for you. There are some elements of f/f erotica and anal play, but that only made the story even hotter.
5/5

Also Loose Id Publishing has “Claimed By Dragons on sale this week!

In much sadder news most everyone who follows the romance community on Facebook already knows one of Ellora’s Cave favorite cover models and Caveman is gone.
“Angelo” Ruben Dario Riguero- Brito was shot and killed outside a Dallas club early Sunday morning and he will be missed by many.

I remember the day I received my new EC book cover for “Sugar Roux Voodoo” and being completely thrilled that Angelo was the hero. There was a sweet warmth about Angelo that made him a great favorite. I don’t believe anyone will be taking his place any time soon. He was special.

RIP Dark Angel
