So Far So Good...

2011 is off to quiet but lovely start for me.
Actually “quiet” isn’t the best description. Last week, my son was assigned a slide trombone in the afterschool band, and I’ve been getting ambushed a lot in the hallway by some very loud, brassy noises that are definitely meant to scare me.

I’m also finding that being a little bit scared—as in tingly scared can be a lot of fun, and that’s the real topic of today’s blog.

I’m branching out this year and writing a few romantic-paranormals. Writing romantic paranormals has been great entertainment for me and I hope readers will enjoy them too.

Several of my long tortured WIPS are actually close to completion and will soon be released from my “carousel of chaos” into my editor’s hands in the next few weeks, and hopefully one more each month will follow throughout the spring.

Everything is still in play but it feels good to see projects finally being finished and making their way toward the light of day.

I’m also close to completing a romantic historical that already has a sequel planned. I’m really looking forward to sharing the themes and details with everyone when things are finalized.

I want to get the attention of Ellora’s Cave fans and let them know Coffee Time Romance is hosting a huge chat and gift giveaway Thursday January 27th at Coffee Time Romance. I’ll have a thread started and so will many other great Ellora’s Cave authors. Please drop by on the 27th, pour yourself a steaming cup of chat, and join the fun. I’ll post more details closer to the actual event.

Next Wednesday, I’ll be hosting the wonderful “Mistress of intimacy” Tina Donahue. Tina will be sharing a first taste of her first paranormal novel “The Yearning” from Samhain Press. You don’t want to miss this!

  1. I for one can't wait for some of these wips to be completed and available for sale. :)

  2. Big congrats on your productivity, Kat!

  3. Thank you Amber and Tessie and Julia, all of you talented ladies have been a daily inspiration and great help to me.
I'm finding I really need a writing community to stay grounded and on track, AND we can all discuss things only a romance writer could possibly care about, so my family thanks you as well! lol
    XXOO Kat

  4. Well, Kat - I'd say slow and steady wins the race, but I actually think you're pretty speedy! Can't wait and good luck with all the books! Enjoy the scary music too!
