Christmas Cookies.

Do You Bake?

My oven is busy this season. I've got cookies to bake for friends, neighbors, husband's office party, my office party...

Friday it was my gramma's melt-in-your-mouth cookies, chocolate cherry cookies and salted chocolate chips. Saturday I spent making chocolate sheet cakes and latkes - my nod to Chanukah, and today it's heart-attack bars and hand-dipped chocolate truffles.

Whoa. You might think I'm chocolated out, but, nah. I love the aromas that drift about my house this time of year - the tree, candles, cookies, cakes - it's all good.

Sooo - leave me a comment and let me know which recipe you'd like. Better yet, leave me a comment and email me at Julia@JuliaRachelBarrett.com and send me your email address and I'll send you a recipe - they are all old family recipes so you might not find them anywhere else. Tempted?

  1. I've gotta know what the heart attack bars are. lol

I wish I could bake, but it's not my thing. I do the easy break apart cookies and add sprinkles. My family is okay with that because they don't like sweets that much.

  2. Julia what are salted chocolate chips? I love chocolate, I love salt so I'm sure I'll like it!
    Latkes-yum! That's comfort food.

  4. Julia, heart attack bars sound interesting! I love to cook but much to my hubby's dismay, I rarely make deserts. My daughter is a baking wizard and, when she's home, we enjoy many decadent treats.

  5. As long as you're nodding to Chanukah, send me a few nods, too. These things sound luscious!
